Project: Pyes Creek Swing Bridge

Project: Pyes Creek Swing Bridge

Client: Fleetwood Urban

The Pyes Creek Swing Bridge project is a remarkable addition to Hornsby Shire Council’s NSW Public Spaces Legacy Program.

Working with client Fleetwood Urban, Galserv provided hot dip galvanising services for 21 tonnes of materials for the 50-metre swing bridge project, seamlessly blending into its sensitive ecological surroundings in northern Sydney.

By utilising innovative design and materials and the longevity of protection provided by Galserv, disruption to the habitat and residents was minimised, providing a long-lasting solution.

This elegant structure enhances accessibility between Cherrybrook and Dural, fostering community connections and a deeper appreciation for our natural backyard. Sustainability was at the forefront, driving every decision, such as using 10-metre-deep rock anchors at each bridge end and eliminating the need for large concrete footings.

With coatings from Galserv providing decades of protection, we’re proud to contribute to a greener, more connected future.
